Taylor’d Builds started with my first house. I bought a home that needed a complete renovation, and instead of hiring everything out, I decided to use the skills I had built over the years. I had construction experience from working hands-on in high school, and I also had the design background from architecture school and working professionally in architecture. That house became the place where all of those experiences finally came together.

As I renovated, I posted the transformation on social media, and people began paying attention. Seeing the before-and-after transformations honestly surprised even myself. Watching the space completely change through design and craftsmanship made me realize how much I genuinely loved creating environments that felt custom and intentional.

Before long, friends and family started asking me to help with projects in their own homes. Whether it was accent walls, custom features, or helping bring an idea to life, people always told me I had a talent for working with my hands and creating spaces that stood out. Those early projects gave me the confidence to turn what started as a passion into something real.

The name Taylor’d Builds came from my last name, Taylor, but it’s also a play on the word “tailored.” I came up with it because I wanted the company to represent something personal and custom to every client. I never wanted projects to feel cookie-cutter or one-size-fits-all. Every space should feel designed specifically for the person living in it.

Today, Taylor’d Builds focuses on custom media walls, accent walls, and built-in fireplace features, while also helping guide clients through the design side of their projects.

 

My goal has always been simple: take someone’s vision and turn it into a space they’re proud of every time they walk into it.
